The MPAP’s exciting free public art exhibitions strengthen and educate communities while supporting social justice and fostering local arts and culture. Our art installations inspire civic participation and encourage artistic imagination.
Our booth will have a gorgeous tapestry that our crochet artist made which features the flowers that will be in the mural installation showcased at the Fair.
We will have art activities, to match both of our goals. At our three art stations you will be able to create a project that highlights sustainability:
1. Make your own recycled paper bookmark with beautiful, pressed flowers, and colorful tassels.
2. "Paint your own pollinator" coloring book pages with drawings designed by our teaching artist for this project. We will offer posca pens, watercolor, crayons, markers, colored pencils, and more!
3. A "paint with yarn" station that turns fiber yarn into a one-of-a-kind mini painting you can take home featuring the flowers of the upcoming mural and important pollinators!
