Madison Public Art Project: Wildflowers of Wisconsin

2023 Hands-On Art Experience

Join the Madison Public Art Project and crochet your own fiber art flower that will be incorporated into their upcoming Fitchburg public art mural located in McKee Farms Park.

The "Wildflowers of Wisconsin" public art project invites the community into the artmaking process. The installation recreates wildflowers native to Wisconsin using yarn art flowers to illuminate the importance of sustainability in our lives and promote greater stewardship of the land. Supplies will be provided at art stations with a simple-to-follow stich pattern with art assistants.

Other art-making activities include pollinator coloring book pages, colorful sidewalk chalk, drawing with crayons, markers, colored pencils, painting with posca’s, and more!
